  1. You certainly picked an area rich in logging history. The area enclosed by the border of the map must have had nearly fifty separate spurs for loggers - some named for the individual logger or his firm, others named for who knows what. The book: "Wisconsin Valley Line" by Ray Specht lists most of these spurs.
