Clean-Up White Lightning

Weather permitting we'll be out Saturday morning (the 10th) to clean up the White Lightning trail after the clear-cut. Loggers are making an effort to keep debris off of the trail, and they were very kind to work around that trail before the race. I'm curious about the view after the trees are gone.

See poll at left.

  3. Because of the deluge we had a few days ago, the loggers may not have finished White Lightning because the skid road was impassable. I'll start at White Lightning and if there is no progress yet I will continue to the Old Car to work on a bypass of that mud at the end of trail H. Loggers were pretty much done with trail B Thursday and planned to finish Friday, so that should be out end point for clean up Saturday. They were very kind to the trail.

  5. Steve and I cleaned up White Lightning and trail B on Saturday, keeping the old line intact. Loggers have just a little more to do this week, but there are being very gentle with the trail. If you see there big machines working you should take another way or stay a long distance away until they see you. Don't try to sneak past them. They need to see you.
